Charles Lemanceau (1905-1980) is a known ceramist from the Art Deco period. He exhibited i.a. together with Le Corbusier, Matisse, and Mallet-Stevens.
He worked a lot for Saint-Clément in the 1920s, later on he also worked and designed a lot for the famous Galeries Lafayette. He is best known for his ceramic sculptures of animals like this beautiful sweet doe statue which also can hold a candle or some trinkets.
