Olivia Dar is a jewelry accessories and clothing brand created by its namesake founder in 2011. A Parisian with a passion for crafts and traveling the world, Olivia set up her atelier in India where her finely hand embroidered pieces are created.

Born in Italy and raised in London and Paris, Olivia Dar is a world-traveler with a Parisian soul. After studying cinema in Paris and Montreal, she took a gemmology course in Jaipur which sparked a lifelong passion for Indian craft and artisanal traditions. She settled in India and began her career designing embroideries and accessories for haute couture labels such as Christian Lacroix. In 2011, she founded her eponyomous brand of hand-embroidered jewellery, clothing and accessories, combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic

Their atelier is located inside an urban village within New Delhi. They provide a safe and comfortable workspace for their artisans to practice their craft, and every Olivia Dar piece is finely and carefully crafted in the studio. The embroidery is done by their male artisans and the finishing by their female artisans. As a woman-owned and run company, we are especially attuned to creating a safe and supportive work environment for their female employees. They are committed to sustainability and source material locally, recycle fabrics and upcycle vintage embroidered clothing sourced from Central Asia.
