Cloisonné short tea pot - Serene yellow

This box has the same diameter as the tall and medium pots, but is slightly smaller. Very nice to combine with other yellow designs.

The cloisonné is made by the ancient technique for metal decorating, where the copper compartments are first added to the jar by fixing the thin copper strips on the jar’s edges. Then the jar is covered with enamel powder  paste and fired in a kiln, resulting in colored compartments with vitreous enamel. The copper remains visible in the finished piece and separates the different compartments.
