Handmade Wooden Ugly Duckling Theatre – Hand-Cranked Music Box | 10 cm

Handmade Wooden Ugly Duckling Theatre – Hand-Cranked Music Box | 10 cm

Once upon a time, there was a little duckling...

Step into the wonderful world of fairy tales with this charming miniature theatre inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling.

Handmade from lightweight wood, the little theatre features a colourful scene with a blue duckling, a graceful white swan and a pond surrounded by flowers and greenery. The cheerful blue-and-yellow striped façade, golden stars and crescent moon give it the nostalgic charm of an old-fashioned puppet theatre.

Turn the small handle on the side and a melody from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake fills the air. The figures remain still, but the music adds a lovely touch of magic to this miniature storybook scene. Simply keep turning the handle to keep the music playing.

A curious little treasure that looks wonderful on a bookshelf, among vintage finds or in a child's room. And a particularly lovely gift for anyone who appreciates fairy tales, classical music and beautifully made little things.
